Salzburg is renowned for its baroque architecture and musical heritage, but the city also boasts a vibrant contemporary art scene. The Walk of Modern Art transforms the historic center into an open-air gallery, showcasing works by internationally acclaimed artists.

What is the Walk of Modern Art?
Since 2002, the Salzburg Foundation has invited renowned artists to create site-specific works in public spaces. The result is a fascinating trail of over 14 sculptures and installations seamlessly integrated into the historic cityscape.
This art trail not only offers aesthetic enjoyment but also encourages visitors to experience Salzburg from a fresh perspective. The works spark conversation and invite reflection on the interplay between historical tradition and contemporary creativity.
