Destination Mozart
From January 23 to February 2, 2025, Salzburg transforms into a hub of classical music. Organized by the Mozarteum Foundation, Mozart Week celebrates the legacy of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with a program themed Destination Mozart, exploring the influences of great masters like Monteverdi, Bach, Händel, and Haydn on Mozart’s work.

Music up close: The Gentle Hide is just a few minutes’ walk from the Mozart Week venues.
A highlight of the festival is Nikolaus Habjan’s staging of Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, while the Salzburg Marionette Theater breathes new life into tradition with Die Gärtnerin aus Liebe. The diverse program also features orchestral and chamber concerts, street dance performances, pub quizzes, silent films with live music, guided tours, and discussion events.
Held annually around Mozart’s birthday on January 27, the festival has been attracting artists and music lovers from around the world since 1956. In 2025, Mozart Week once again promises musical excellence and innovative productions.
Tickets and information are available through the Mozarteum Foundation.
